Prominent Figures of Ummah: Democracy is Full of Maladies!

HTI Press. Saturday, February 16, 2013, Lajnah Fa’aliyah Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) held a National Workshop of Prominent Figures. This is the third national workshop in 2013 with the participants who come from 20 different organizations.

In his explanation, Rohmat S. Labib, the Chairman of HTI Central Board, explains that Indonesia once got a democracy award. But, he asks, whether Indonesia becomes a better country after the application of democracy. The answer is no. Poverty remains high, corruption is mounting to Rp. 34.4 billion during the period 2004-2012, moral decadence is increasing, while public money is wasted. Just an example, simply for the regional elections (comprising of 495 districts /city) require Rp 21.12 trillion. The money for making of the Bill requires Rp. 12 billion in 2013 with the minimum presence of the lawmakers. On the other hand, the high cost of law making gives favor for the foreign colonials.

The Chairman of HTI Central Board also explains the facts and arguments to conclude that “Democracy is a corrupt kufr system that needs to be replaced. The successor of which is the Khilafah “.

The workshop moderated by Dr. Riza Rosadi received enthusiastic responses from the participants. Ahmad Michdan (from TPM) agrees that democracy is corrupt and the solution is the Khilafah whose big enemy is the U.S. Currently, North Korea is boldly against the U.S. He jokingly says that “HTI should open a branch in North Korea.”
H. Azhar (from Corps of of Islamic Preachers in Jakarta) says, “Democracy is contrary to Islam, it is a disease from head to toe, so that everything must be totally rejected.”

Adang Hermansyah (from Garis) sees the danger of democracy, “Democracy tolerates disobedience, and it is harmful to children and grandchildren and our wives. We need to enforce the establishment of  Khilafah “.

Eagerly, Mukhlis Abdullah (from Muhammadiyah) says, “Islam is rahmatan lil ‘alamin as well as a global threat to the West. During the era of  colonialism, Islamic Sharia was not disputed, until the early of the independence. It is a dream to rely on the Parliament to implement the Sharia. He continues to hope,  “HTI exists from Sabang to Merauke. HTI needs to convey Sharia and Khilafah by using the languages of the local people so that they support HTI”.

Meanwhile, Dr. Musjby (from Islamic Propagation Council of Indonesia- DDII) gives appreciation, “HTI is the only Islamic institution that can be trusted in the world, since HTI has no visible defects and HTI has really brought the message of Sharia”.

Among the participants were Eggi Sudjana (from Voice Independent of the People of Indonesia / SIRI), Ahmad Michdan (from Muslim Lawyers Team / TPM), Haris Azhar Damrah and (from Corps of Preachers in Jakarta / KMJ), Mukhlis Abdullah (from Muhammadiyah), Adang Nurmansyah (from Islamic Reformist Movement / Garis) , Musy’abi (from International Muslim Brother), Amin Lubis (from Association Tarbiyah Islamiyah / Perti), Ahmad Zaki (from PB PII), Joseph K (from KB PII Jakarta), Tri G (from Laskar Empathy Defenders of the Nation / Lepas) Mufti (from PP Perti , Indonesian Islamic Propagation Council), and many others.
