Indonesia Needs A Growing, Stable and Fair Economic System

To overcome the economic problems, according to HTI’s a spokesman Muhammad Ismail Yusanto, Indonesia needs the best economic system. “We need the best economic system that is growing, stable and fair. Currently, the capitalist economic system is growing but unstable and unfair, “he said in Halqah Islam and Civilization (HIP) Edition 2 in Hotel Sahid, Jayapura, Papua.

According to Ismail, the current capitalist system applied during the crisis has been proven vulnerable and unfair because it  is  siding with the capitalists. “The recurring crisis in this country is because we use a capitalist economic system. Moreover, this systems tends to side with the capitalists. Just look at Papua which has the largest gold company  in the world but it gives no positive impact on the development of Papuaitself. If Papua is willing to go forward and prosper, it must use a growing, stable and fair economic system which is Islamic economic system, “Ismail said.

Meanwhile, the Chief Editor of the daily newspaper Jubi Viktor C Mambor talked a little about the absence of government in the development ofinfrastructure in Papua. “The biggest problem in Papua is the development of infrastructure that makes all development very expensive and slow.While the existence of Freeport gold mine does not give a positive impact for the community, ” Victor said.
On the same occasion, legal observers from University of Cendrawasih Marinus Yaung highlighted the legal issues. “Law enforcement in Papua is weak. As a result, public trust in law enforcement is  weak as well. State authority is also weak. This is because of the government’s own fault, ” Yaung said.
